President receives Qatari PM

SANA’A, March 27 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Thursday the Qatari Prime Minister Hamad bin Jasem al-Thani who handed him a letter from the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifah al-Thani. The letter dealt with fields of mutual cooperation between the two countries as well as issues that will be discussed in coming Arab summit that will be held next Saturday in Damascus. They also discussed Qatari investments in Yemen in fields of tourism and housing, especially the project that will be carried out by Qatari al-Dayar Company in Faj Atan in Sana’a City at a cost of $ 560 million. President Saleh expressed comfort for the level of the relations between Yemen and Qatar, appreciating the Qatari support for the development process in the country. He renewed welcome for the Qatari investments, affirming that these investments would receive all care and encouragement to achieve common interests of both countries. On the other hand, the Qatari Premier left Sana’a after a short visit to the country. AH/AM Saba
