President receives Iraqi Islamic leader

ADEN, Dec. 07(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received Thursday the head of the Sunni Islamic Scholars Association, Dr. Hareth Al-Dhari, who is currently visitng Yemen. Al-Dhari briefed president Saleh on the miserable situations in Iraq and the dangers which imperil stability and unity in Iraq. He praised president Saleh ‘s positive position towards the international issues, particularly the Iraqi and Palestinian ones. For his part, president stressed on the significance of dialog and reconciliation all factions in Iraq to avoid more bloodshed and destruction. He considered table dialog the sole solution to rescue Iraq from dangers and challenges, in addition to not to allow enemies of Iraq target stabilityand unity. He reaffirmed Yemen’s solidarity with Iraq. AM/AH SABA
