President receives Chinese military commander

SANA’A, Nov. 25(Saba)-President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Saturday the Chinese General Ring Lee, who is visiting Yemen now. In the meeting, they discussed mutual ties and collaboration between Yemenand China in the military domain. Lee conveyed Chinese president hu Jinatao’s greetings to president Saleh and wishes of more welfare and progress for the Yemeni government andpeople. He lauded the growing Yemeni-Chinese relations and cooperation in various fields, especially in the military field. He highlighted positive outcomes of president Saleh’s visit to China which resulted in expanding the range of cooperation between the two countries. Lee asserted his country’s strong willingness to boost reciprocated tiesand collaboration with Yemen, coming on top the military domain. President Saleh voiced comfort on level of the Yemeni-Chinese increasing relations, saying that both countries have historical relations. He affirmed Yemen’s interest in further improving cooperation and coordinationwith China. President Saleh asked the Chinese official to convey greetings and hopes of sustainable health to president Jinatao, and more advance and prosperityfor the Chinese government and people. AM/AH SABA
