President receives call from Hamas leader over recent Gaza events

SANA’A, Jan. 03 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Thursday a phone call from Khaled Mashal, head of the Hamas Political Office, who briefed him on the recent clashes between elements of Hamas and Fatah movements in Gaza strip. President Saleh renewed call of dialogue between the two movements to enhance unity of the Palestinians to avoid more casualties among them. He said that the killing between the Palestinians just serves enemies of the Palestinian people, affirming position of Yemen for supporting Palestinian people to get back all of their rights and setting up their independent state and al-Quds as its capital.
