President receives Arab leaders in Surt

SURT, Libya, March 27 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh held meetings on Saturday on the sideline of the 22nd Arab Summit in Libya with several Arab leaders and representatives of some countries to the summit President Saleh met Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Algerian president Abdelaziz Bouteflika, Djibouti President Ismael Omar Jila and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.He also received representatives of some Arab countries to the summit as he met Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed al-Nazif, Omani Deputy Prime Minister Fahid Bin Mahmoud Al Saeed, and Ruler of Um al-Quin of UAE Sheikh Sauid bin Rashid, Prince Rashid bin al-Hasan of Morocco and Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari.He discussed with them aspects of the mutual cooperation between Yemen and their countries and agenda of the summit.Moreover, president Saleh also met Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in Surt on the sideline of the Arab Summit. They discussed bilateral relations between Yemen and their nations and latest developments in the regional and international arenas including the situation in occupied Palestine territories.AH
