President opens first agricultural and fishing exhibition in
HODEIDAH, May 21(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh opened on Sunday a agricultural and fishing exhibition that was held in Hodeidah city.
President Saleh was received by Minister of Agriculture Jallal Faqirah, Minister of Fishing Wealth, Ibrahim Saqiri Chairman of Cooperative and Agricultural Union, Mohammed Bashr, Chairman of general authority for developing Tahamh Mohammed al-Ghashm and other officials.
He listened to the contents of the exhibition which 127 agricultural societies are partaking in it.
He expressed comfort for what he saw in the exhibition from agricultural and fishing products which reflect seize of the achievement in the two sectors.
He said that the agriculture is future of the country and its key choice for the development. He affirmed support of the government for doubling efforts of supporting two sectors.
The aim of the exhibition is to awareness raising on modern technologies in agricultural and fishing sectors.
