President opens Automatic Issuance Center in Taiz

SANA’A, May 23 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh inaugurated on Sunday an Automatic Issuance Center for police services (traffic – passports – civil status) in Taiz province.The President has toured in the departments of the center that was cost roughly YR 660 million and got acquainted with the services, which would be offered for citizens in the province.Saleh said that the government is intended to establish such centers in several provinces, affirming the importance of linking all automatic issuance centers via a network that would provide a database facilitates the issuance of the documents issued by the centers.He directed the Interior Ministry to offer all facilities for the citizens in all facilities and outlets, ordering also to speed up the issuance of the unified cars’ number plates,On the other hand, President Saleh paid a visit to Sami’a Hawrah district in Taiz province, where he inspected the citizens’ conditions and the implementation progress of the under-construction projects in the district.He also listened to a report on activities of the district local council’s activities.The President has also visited Saqi’ah dam in Khadir area, where he was briefed on the water quantity in the dam resulted from the heavy rains fell in the area, affirming the importance of establishing more dams to preserve the groundwater.Moreover, Saleh visited a tourist project has been put up by the local council near to the dam at a cost of YR 300 million. The project includes tourist facilities, such as swimming pool, kids’ theater and gymnasium.AF/AF
