President moderates meeting in Ibb, launches services

IBB, August 14 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Saturday moderated a meeting for the local government officials and leaders representing different political parties in Ibb. In his address, President Saleh asserted the vitality of the role of local councilors in pursuing the implementation of developmental projects. He also asserted the necessity of economizing the exploitation of the underground water reserves. Upon his arrival at the city of Ibb, President Ali Abdullah Saleh had laid the cornerstones for 147 service projects at a cost of Yr 14 million, launched the operation of 77 projects. The projects covering almost all provinces were mainly basic services including electricity, telecommunication, water, health, education and agriculture. AA/NSSABA
