President meets with Russian deputy FM in Surt

SURT, LIBYA, March 27 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh met on Saturday with the special envoy of the Russian President and Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Sultanof in the Libyan city of Surt on the sidelines of the Arab summit. During the meeting, they talked over the bilateral relations and fields of joint cooperation between Yemen and Russia as well as means to upgrade such cooperation to wider horizons to meet aspirations of the two countries’ peoples. The talks also shed lights on the recent developments in the regional and international arenas of concern to both countries, topped by the Palestinian latest developments on light of the Israeli escalation.
