President meets Arab League Secretary Gnenral

CAIRO, Feb 9 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh received in his residence suite here on Monday Secretary General of Arab league Amr Musa. During the meeting, the latest developments in the region especially in Palestine and situation in Iraq were discussed. They also discussed current arrangements for holding the next Arab summit and means of bolstering joint Arab work in the light of presented initiatives from some Arab countries including Yemeni initiative. President Ali Abdullah Saleh underlined importance of activating joint Arab work on all levels and works to realize higher national interests. It is scheduled that president will pay on Tuesday a visit to headquarters of the Arab league where he would meet Secretary General of Arab league Amr Musa and workers in the league to get acquainted on activities of the league.
