President launches further projects in Hodeidah

HODEIDAH, Oct. 14 (Saba)-President Ali Abdullah Saleh launched works in 347 development projects in Hodeidah at a total cost of around YR 40 billion. The projects include services offices, roads, schools, and health facilities. Meanwhile, President Saleh organized on Saturday Iftar Banquet and ceremonyin Taiz governorate on holy month and occasion of 43rd anniversary of 14th October Revolution. The banquet was attended by officials from Taiz and Ibb governorates, businessmen, members of parliament, epresentatives of non-overnmental organizations, journalists, scholars and social figures. In the ceremony,president Saleh delivered a speech in which he congratulated Yemeni people on this occasion. He expressed thank you for trust granted by the people for him in the presidential elections. He promised that the future will witness further progress and stability. He pointed out to the achievements and projects which have been carried out since revolutions. He renewed call for opening new page with other political organizations, calling them to know suffering of people and their needs. AH/AH SABA
