President launches Al-Saleh Project for limiting unemployment
SANA’A, May 13 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh launched Monday Al-Saleh Project which aim at limiting unemployment by providing training and qualification for youth within the framework of President’s platform. In the inaugurating ceremony, organized by Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank, President announced that there are two thousand agricultural projects to include 20 thousand people which would help to combat poverty. He argued government to distribute agricultural and residential lands to youth during the coming months. Saleh called for uniting all efforts to combat poverty, saying that “We have welcomed investments of friendly countries, especially the Gulf states.” Deputy chairman of executive directors of the project Salim Al-Shahtari said that the project aims at absorbing as many number as possible of unemployed people, indicating that the project has started in Sana’a as a test by carrying out 150 offices for 2250 beneficiaries. He said the work is going on to implement the programs of the projects in a number of governorates to cover 27 thousand beneficiaries till 2009. MS/AM SABA
