President honors poet Al-Esa

SANA’A, July 6 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh rewarded on Wednesday Syrian poet Salman al-Esa, an inspiring poet with a great deal of poems applauding Yemen as a cradle of the Arab civilization. “Al-Esa deserves the respect of all Yemenis and thanks for his record of supporting the Yemeni national causes, said president in the ceremony. The poet, in return, expressed his gratitude to the people and leadership of Yemen for their hospitality during his stay in Yemen. Al-Esa said he was especially impressed by the unification of Yemen which revived his “hopes of a pan-Arab unity”. During his stay in Yemen, the poet and his wife completed five collections of poems about Yemen. AA/NSSABA
