President holds farewell meeting for French ambassador

SANA’A, Oct 04 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received here on Wednesday the French Ambassador to Yemen Alain Morouo on ending his work as ambassador to Sana’a. In the meeting, the French Ambassador congratulated the president Saleh on re-electing him for a new presidential term and on the success of the presidential and local councils elections. He expressed the French government’s gratitude to the Yemeni president and government for the efforts exerted to release, in safety, the French tourists, who were kidnapped in Shabwah governorate, He highlighted Yemeni-French relations and his country’s interests to enhance the relations in many fields. On his part, president Saleh praised the ambassador’s efforts during his mission which strengthened the aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries, wishing him all the best in his future responsibilities.
