President highlights imperative of preserving Old Sana’a architecture

SANA’A, Nov 9, (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh paid a visit to the Old Sana’a on Tuesday where he drove through the local souqs of the historical city for a common touch with the ordinary citizens. President Saleh said the unique architecture of Old Sana’a makes it a lively museum and that efforts to preserve it would continue. Huge crowds of cheering citizens on curbsides of the road stood hailing the motorcade of the President with a roar of applause as it was passing by them. Talking with a number of citizens, President Saleh exchanged with them the greetings and good wishes on the approach of Eidul-Fitr. AA/AA SABA
