President gets phone calls from Lebanese PM, Mashaal of Hamas

LONDON, Aug.12 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Thursday a phone call from the Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri. In the phone call, President Saleh and Hariri exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, and discussed bilateral relations and areas of joint cooperation between the two countries, as well as the developments of common concern at the Arab and regional arenas. Also President Saleh received a phone call from head of the political bureau of Palestinian Hamas movement, Khalid Mashaal, during which they exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan. During the phone conversation, President Saleh got acquainted with the developments of situations in the Palestinian arena, and reiterated Yemen’s supportive position to the right of Palestinian people to get their rights and establish an independent state on their national soil with Jerusalem as its capital.
