President: French tourists to be set free within few days

SANA’A, Sep.19( Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh expected four French tourists held hostage by tribesmen to be freed within a few days.In a press conference held in Sana’a, president Saleh said talks with the hostage-takers were still going on. He confirmed that the kidnapping reasons of four French tourists relate to a struggle between two villages. He said that the kidnappers exercise pressures on the government for bargaining. “They demanded YR. 500,000 and a car as a bargain to release them, but the government will not give them any Rial. We will release French kidnapped during next two days,” He added. MS/AH SABA
