President congratulates Sudan on Darfur crisis settlement

SANA’A, May 06(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh congratulated his Sudanese counterpart Umar al-Bashir on reaching a peace deal in Darfur region.

In a phone call, president Saleh said that the deal was a step to strengthen security and stability in Sudan as a whole.

He expressed comfort for the deal which would foil plots that target the unity of Sudan. He said the agreement would enhance efforts of maintaining security and peace in Sudan and protecting its unity. He said that targeting the unity of Sudan is an attempt to target security in the Arab world.
