President congratulates new elected parliamentary presidency staff

SANA’A, Feb. 12 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh congratulated on Tuesday the new elected Parliament Speaker Yahya Arrai and members of Parliament’s presidency staff Himyar al-Ahmar, Akram Attiah and Mohammad al-Shadadi who won parliament’s presidency in the election held on Monday. President Saleh addressed the new leadership saying that the poll was the decider and that all people wither in office or opposition were satisfied with that competition and the democratic and brotherly soul that predominated Parliament presidency election process. “You are responsible for all people and homeland. Your responsibility is great and you must treat people equally, ” president Saleh said, confirming the important role of the parliament in the process of legislation and observation. He indicated that the government is preparing a comprehensive and transparent report covering all issues and topics to be presented to the Parliament for consideration, saying that all are responsible for building the homeland. Arrai and Parliament presidency members thanked the president for his concern on improving parliamentary work, confirming their determination on working hard for serving the interest of the homeland.
