President chairs meeting for GPC blocs
Sana'a- President Ali Abdullah Saleh chaired on Saturday a joint extended meeting for the ministerial body and the General People's Congress (GPC) blocs in the Parliament and the Shoura Council, in addition to members of the General Assembly of the GPC.
During the meeting, they discussed the current situations in Yemen and the crisis which the country is undergoing, in addition to stubborn stances of the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) and the destruction and escalation acts they do.
Prime Minister Ali Mujawar and Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi acquainted the meeting with their movements to explain the situation in Yemen to sister and friend countries, in addition to the efforts exerted to settle the crisis.
For his part, President Saleh affirmed the importance of all institutions to do their role to protect the country in the face of challenges of the current crisis.
He reviewed the exerted efforts to help the country avoid rebellion and bloodshed and maintain security and stability of the nation.
The president pointed out that there are leaders in the JMP willing to cause bloodshed and put responsibility on the authority to win support of the public opinion, making clear that al-Qaeda is working with the JMP in order to cause violence and shake stability and security of the country.
The meeting condemned all acts which are considered illegal to pull the country towards rebellion and bloodshed as well as harming the public and private interests.
The participants commended the repeated calls of the president for dialogue, welcoming efforts of the Gulf countries and affirmed to positively deal with them as a full system.
