President chairs 20th Gulf Cup committee meeting

SANA’A, Oct. 20 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh chaired on Wednesday a meeting for the organizing committee of the 20th Gulf Cup as well as the security committee. The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Ali Mujawar and a number of senior government officials. During the meeting, President Saleh got acquainted with reports on works of the organizing committee and the local committee of 20th Gulf Cup, in addition to the security committee. The reports pointed out readiness and preparations to host this important sport event from the organizational, housing and security aspects in a way to bring success to this sportive event. Saleh praised efforts exerted by all concerned bodies to prepare for activities of the 20th Gulf Cup, affirming the necessity to continue these efforts to ensure preparedness of all atmospheres to conduct this event perfectly. He referred to the role of mass media, civil society organizations and all national actors to help such great efforts reach the sought after success. AMAM Saba
