President, British official discuss combating terrorism
SANA’A, May 19 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh discussed here on Tuesday with the British Prime Minister’s Security Adviser and the Head of Intelligence, Security and Resilience in the Cabinet Office Robert Hannigan issues on combating terrorism and maritime piracy.The bilateral relations as well as aspects of joint cooperation between the two friendly countries different fields, the meeting dealt with.The British official affirmed Britain’s readiness to strengthen its relations with Yemen and support its efforts in areas of development, reforms, democracy and combating terrorism.United Kingdom strongly supports the security, stability and unity of Yemen that will in return serve the stable and security in the region, Hannigan said.For his part, President Saleh praised the Yemeni-British relations, hailing the efforts of Britain to support Yemen, especially during London Donor Conference.FJ/AF
