President attends graduating of 1st war commanders batch

SANA’A, Aug. 19(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh attended on Saturday a ceremony organized by the military academy on the occasion of graduating the first batch of war commanders. President Saleh delivered a speech in which he congratulated the graduates, saying that the current era is the era of technology and information. Now, the military institutions are qualified and reached an advance level like other Arab armies, he said. He said the performance of those institutions has become better than before as it depends upon modern information technology. President Saleh appreciated the role of the defense ministry and persistency of the general staff. Director of the academy Abdu Raboh al-Qushaibi delivered a speech in which he reviewed developments in the academy, pointing out to the cooperation with Naser Higher Military Academy in Egypt to put advanced plans to improve the Yemeni military academy performance.
