President attends 2nd Youth Festival activities

HODEIDAH, May 21(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh, along with vice president Abdu-Rabu Mansour, attended the closing ceremony of the 2nd Youth Festival which was organized by Yemen Youth General Association in Hodeidah governorate 17- 21 May within the framework of the ceremonies of the 16th Anniversary of the Yemeni Unification.

President felicitated Yemen youth and the leadership of the association for organizing such festivals which demonstrate the real
Yemeni union when youth get together in one land and hand-in-hand.

He addressed youth to be aware of the country’s demand from them that they would be the leaders and decision makers. “You have all the love
for the land of Yemen the Yemeni Union which you will protect and buildup.” He said.

On the other hand, the head of the General Association for Youth Mo’amir al-Eryani delivered a speech in which he welcomed president Saleh in the bride of the Red Sea in this historical occasion. He appealed, on behalf of the Yemeni youth, the president to retreat from his decision of not to run the coming elections and said the youth would hold strikes in all governorate asking him to run the elections.
