President announces YR100 mln for orphans care centers

SANA’A, (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh attended Tuesday, along with Vice President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi, commencement of the 5th batch of President Center for Orphans Care and Qualification in which he announced RY100 million allocation of the government for supporting sector of orphans care at Al-Saleh Institution for Social Development and President Center for Orphans Care and Qualification. The occasion was also celebrating the conclusion of the 1st summer center for enlightening and developing skills of widows and orphans at Al-Saleh Institution. Speaking in the ceremony, President Saleh thanked people in charged for their exerted efforts to offer care and qualify orphans as well as for the good preparation for the ceremony. He directed establishing al-Saleh university for technical and vocational education to be dedicated for qualifying orphans, noting that this would enable orphans to mix with the society instead of only being confined to special centers. Saleh also donated his special ranch in Abs district to be dedicated for Al-Saleh Institution for Social Development, in addition to granting RY10 million and a peace of land for a cancer-afflicted child and that Al-Saleh Institution be responsible for offering medication for him. He called upon business people to contribute to supporting activities and projects of taking care of and qualifying orphans, appreciating those who has had a hand in this charitable and humanitarian work.
