Oman’s Sultan receives letter from president Saleh over bilateral ties
Mascot, April 23 (Saba)- Oman’s Sultan Qabus bin Said received on Wednesday a letter from President Ali Abdullah Saleh over bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries as well as recent regional and international developments of common concern. In his letter, president Saleh expressed appreciation of Yemen for the role of Sultanate in supporting development in Yemen and its accession to the Gulf Cooperation Council. The letter was handed over by Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi during his meeting with the Sultan. In the meeting, the foreign minister conveyed regards of president Saleh to the Sultan of Oman who highlighted deep routed of the Yemeni-Omani relationship. The sultan affirmed concern of his country to support unity and stability of Yemen as well as efforts of the Yemeni government in the development process. He asked the foreign minister to convey his regards to president Saleh, wishing him good health and further progress and prosperity for the Yemeni people.AH/AH Saba
