New military and security training year launched

GOVERNORATES, Jan. 02 (Saba)- In response to directives of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, 2007 military training year was launched on Tuesday inall military and security units s across the country. Mohammed Nassar along with Marib governor and other top military officials paid visits to several military camps in different regions of the countryto launch the 2007 training years in those camps. Nassar congratulated all of you on occasion of Eid al-Adha and launching new training year, Nassar said, we are proud of your positions in protecting nation and democracy, especially during September presidential and local elections. He highlighted good achievements done by forces during last year of training, saying that those achievements reflected continuing sponsorship of thecountry’s political leadership headed by President Ali Abdullah Saleh who asked to improve living standard of soldiers by increasing their salaries as well as developing means of training and supplying them with modern weapons to face any risks within new regional and Arabic challenges. He pointed out to position of Yemen to support peace and stability in the region, saying that the military and security forces are for protecting development and strengthening stability across the country.
