London meeting is successful, says president

SANA’A, No. 23 (Saba)-London meeting for supporting development in Yemen last week, was successful, President Ali Abdullah Saleh said on Thursday. Upon his arrival from his participation in the meeting, president Saleh expressed his comfort for success of the London meeting. Goals of the London meeting were achieved to support plan of development in Yemen and enhance partnership between Yemen and donors, he said. He added that outcomes of talks with the British and French officials would contribute in developing partnership and ties between Yemen and these two countries. He made it clear that the viewpoints of Yemen with two countries were similar over issues of common concern. He highlighted the good level of the relations between Yemen and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Yemen has concern to strengthen ties with the GCC to server interests of all and security and stability in the region, president concluded. AH/AH
