Lebanese supports president Saleh’s initiative

BEIRUT, August 22 (Saba) – Lebanese President Emile Lahoud received here on Friday Yemen’s ambassador to Beirut Ahmed Abdullah Al-Bashah who handed over a letter to him from President Ali Abdullah Saleh. The letter focused on bilateral relations between the two countries and latest development in the region. During the meeting, they reviewed Yemeni initiative to overhaul the Arab joint work and reinforce the Arab solidarity. Lahoud expressed appreciation for President Saleh’s role the in region and his correct view. He confirmed his support for the President Saleh’s approach on developing the joint Arab work. He asked the Yemeni ambassador to convey his greetings to president Saleh and his whishes for him of good heath and more prosperity for the Yemen people. AH/KM SABA
