German professor gives Saleh a book on Socotra biodiversity
SANA’A, Dec 16 (Saba)- Professor Franik of Rostok University in Germany gave President Ali Abdullah Saleh Thursday a book he authorized about the biodiversity of Socotra, Yemen’s famous island on the Indian Ocean. During talks between the German Ambassador Frank Marcus Mann and President Saleh on the Yemeni-German economic cooperation and the outcomes of the latter’s recent official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, professor Franik gave Saleh the book, a scientific research that studied for years, in narrow outlines, the land and sea biology of Socotra. Meanwhile a German TV team would begin next Saturday to take photographs of a number of health, education and human rights facilities in Aden, Taia, and Ibb. AA/AA SABA
