GCC initiative should be carried out as a whole, Saleh says

SANA’A, May 01 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh made Sunday a phone call with King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al Saud of Saudi Arabia.Salah and Abdullah discussed the last developments in the region, topped by the situation in Yemen and the efforts exerted by the Gulf Cooperation Council to address the impasse in Yemen.President Saleh reiterated his welcome of the GCC-brokered initiative, affirming that its articles should be carried out respectively as a whole, indivisible and non-selective system in a way that is not inconsistent with the Yemeni constitution and to ensure ending the impasse.President voiced his appreciation of gulf efforts that seek to out an end ongoing stalemate in the country.During the phone conversation, King Abdullah accented the kingdom’s support to whatever can maintain Yemen’s unity, security and stability.AF/AF
