FM heads for Abu Dhabi, carrying Saleh’s letter to UAE president

SANA’A,Dec.15(Saba)- Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi flew on Tuesday to the UAE heading our country delegation to partake in the 2nd round of Yemeni-Emirates joint committee to be kicked off later in Abu Dhabi. During his visit, al-Qirbi pointed that he would deliver a letter from President Ali Abdullah Saleh to his UAE counterpart Sheikh Khalifa bin Zaid Al Nahyan, which deals with the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and means of boosting them. In the round, a number of agreements and protocols would be signed, topped by a memo of understanding between Yemen and Abu Dhabi Fund for Development to use the UAE grant of $650 million to contribute funding developmental projects in the country, al-Qirbi made it clear to Saba. The foreign minister pointed out that he would meet a number of the UAE officials to discuss the bilateral cooperation between the two countries and the developments at the Arab and international arena.
