FM hands over presidential letter to Qatari Emir, Saudi King

DOHA, April 22 (Saba) – Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi handed over on Tuesday a letter from President Ali Abdullah Saleh to Emir of Qatar Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani. The letter delivered during a meeting brought together al-Qirbi and the Qatari Emir in Doha included bilateral relations between Yemen and Qatar in various fields, particularly in investment sector in addition to a number of issues of common interests. The meeting also dealt with the government’s efforts to settle peace and stability in Saada governorate as well as the horizons of expanding cooperation ties between Yemen and Gulf Cooperation Council’s states. On the other hand, al-Qirbi also handed over a letter to the King of Saudi Arabia Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud over coordinating attitudes over last developments in the Arab and regional arenas as well as the means of improving relations between Yemen and GCC King Abdullah accentuated during his meeting with al-Qirbi the Saudi political and economic support to the development comprehensive goals in the country, renewing the Kingdom’s stance on supporting Yemeni stability and unification. Al-Qirbi arrived to Riyadh on Tuesday in the third leg after United Arab Emirates and Qatar of his gulf tour. AF/AF
