FM: Fighting terror tops President’s visit to US

SANA’A, Sept. 1(Saba)- Foreign ministry is preparing these days for the President Ali Abdullah Saleh’s visit to the United States next November. The visit aims to hold talks with US President George W. Bush, Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, and Defense Minister Donald Ramsfeld concerninge conomic cooperation and the US support for Yemen’s development programs and plans, foreign minister, Abu-Bakr al-Qerbi said. He added Yemen and US were expected to sign an agreement that would enable Yemen to receive more assitances from the US Millennium Fund which is considered one of the main US foreign financial aids. Fighting terrorism and the successes made by Yemen in the frame of the international war on terror, the Palestinian, Iraqi and Somali issueswill top the visit agenda, said al-Qerbi said KS/NS SABA
