Filipino President bids farewell for Yemeni ambassador

SANA’A,(Saba)- Filipino President Gloria Arroyo held a farewell meeting on Friday for Abdul-Wahab Mohammed al-Shawkani on ending his mission as Yemen’s non-resident ambassador to the Philippines. Arroyo welcomed the organization of the next conference of Islamic Foreign Ministers in Yemen, confirming the interest of the Philippines to enhance its ties with Yemen in all fields. She asked the outgoing Ambassador to convey her regards to President Ali Abdullah Saleh, and wishes of further progress and prosperity for the Yemeni people. AH/AA SABA
