Eritrean president receives al-Qirbi

ASMARA, Eritrea, Oct. 14 (Saba)-Eritrean President Isaias Afeworke received on Saturday Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Abu Bakr al-Qirbi. In the meeting, al-Qirbi conveyed oral message to the Eritrean president from President Ali Abdullah Saleh. In the message, president Saleh appreciated role of Eritrean president in sponsorship of the dialogue between Sudanese government and East SudanFront which led to sign agreement of peace between the two sides. The minister also conveyed thank of president Saleh for the Eritrean leader over his congratulations in success of September’s local and presidential elections. The Eritrean president valued position of Yemen in supporting security and stability in south of Red Sea and Africa Horn. In the meeting, they discussed aspects of mutual cooperation between Yemen and Eritrea. AH/AH SABA
