Dialogue changed fanatic thoughts: Saleh

ANA’A,(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh said on Saturday that Yemen had managed “through dialogue” to change the fanatic thoughts of many “militants” and that the repentant deserve to be let out, Referring to detained terror suspects who were found bearing extremist thoughts but not guilty of any crimes, President Saleh said during a formal Iftar (dinner) Saturday “many of them (the extremists) have returned to the right path.” He elaborated that “returning to the right path must include the acknowledgement that you were mistaken, a virtue in itself.” “When they repented, we have let them out.” And now, President Saleh continued, “we are going to free as many as possible provided that they show good behavior and don’t redo what they were detained for.”SABA
