Cabinet discusses president’s message over state budget

SANA’A, Jan. 08 (Saba)- In its meeting held on Tuesday and chaired by Prime Minister Ali Mujwar, the cabinet discussed message of President Ali Abdullah Saleh directed to the government over recommendations made by parliament on state budget to the year 2008. The cabinet approved forming a committee to be headed by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and membership of concerned ministers for studying the recommendations and making executive mechanisms for implementing necessary measures required in this year and referring others to forthcoming year. Then, the cabinet reviewed a memo of cabinet’s general secretariat over government’s report concerning implementation of the electoral program of the president for the period 2006-2007. The cabinet directed concerned ministries to provide their reports over what has been achieved in the program to be discussed during the next meeting of the cabinet. MS/AM Saba
