Al-Qirbi: visits of president Saleh to UAE and Bahrain were fruitful
SANA’A March 26 (Saba)- Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi has said that the visits of President Ali Abdullah Saleh to the United Arab Emirates and Kingdom of Bahrain were fruitful and successful. Al-Qirbi told 26September weekly that the visits came within the good relations between Yemen and the two Gulf countries and concern of the president Saleh and the leaders of the two countries to unify the Arab position and enhance the Arab reconciliation. He said that the visit of president Saleh to Kingdom of Bahrain resulted in holding first meeting for the Yemeni-Bahraini joint ministerial committee in Sana’a by end of next June or beginning of July. On Wednesday, al-Qirbi and his Bahraini counterpart Khalid Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa talked on the agenda of the expected meeting of the committee. The talks discussed ties between the two brotherly countries and means of developing the bilateral cooperation areas to meet the hopes of the two brotherly peoples in both countries. The two ministers also dealt with the current developments in the Arab, territorial and international areas, affirming the importance of coordination the two countries’ positions towards all issues to ensure security and stability in the region.
