Al-Qirbi in Tahran to hand over letter from Saleh to Ahmadinejad

p>MOSCOW, May 01 (Saba)- Diplomatic sources said that Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi would visit the Iranian capital Tehran on Thursday coming from Moscow, the Russian capital. The weekly 26september newspaper quoted the sources as saying that al-Qirbi would hand over a letter from President Ali Abdullah Saleh to his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad concerning bilateral cooperation relations between Yemen and Iran and ways of enhancing them in various fields. The sources added that the letter would include consultation on regional issues and international developments, particularly in the Middle East. The sources pointed out that al-Qirbi would participate in the 8th session of the ministerial meetings of member states of the within and bordering the Indian Ocean to be held in Tehran. It is scheduled Yemen will chair the presidency of the 9th session of the meetings, which seeks to develop economic, trade and political relations between the countries bordering the Indian Ocean.
