Al-Bashir phones president on efforts of peace in east of Sudan

TAIZ, Oct.23 (Saba)-President Ali Abdullah Saleh has conducted a telephone call with Sudanese president Omar Hassan al-Bashir Monday in which he congratulated al-Bashir on signing peace treaty between Sudanese government and opposition East Front in 14th of this month in Eritrean capital Asmara. The president renewed Yemen support for the unity, security, stability and sovereignty, of Sudan, wishing good heath to al-Bashir and more development and prosperity for the Sudanese people. On his part, al-Bashir informed president Saleh on the latest developments over efforts of peace in east of Sudan. Al-Bashir expressed his warmest congratulations to president Saleh on Eid al-Fitr, wishing him good health and more development and prosperity for the Yemeni people. MS/AH
