Al-Badi tribes thank president Saleh

Al-BADI, Hadhramout, July 26 (Saba) – Tribes of al-Badi area expressedon Monday thank you for directives of the President Ali Abdullah Salehto government to visit the region and get acquaintance with conditionsof the citizens and their needs from development projects. During their meeting with Ahmed Sofan, Deputy Premier, they said that the visits of the official to the region confirmed concern of the politicalleadership with the needs of citizens. They hoped that the visit would come out with development and servicesprojects and coordination with Saudi side to make easy transportationof the region citizens with their relatives in Saudi border areas. Sofan and other ministers of foreign affairs, oil, roads and health, agriculture,tourism, technical education, trade and minister of Shura and Parliament affairs visited al-Badi border area that was handed by Saudi Arabia toYemen in line with Jeddah treaty as they visit power plant, and buildingof the telecommunication and other regions in the areas. Sofan pointed out that the aim of the visit is to enlighten about the needs of the area’s citizens from projects and required services. He added that the government would pay further efforts to provide citizenswith all services, saying that the ministries would make studies to know needs of the area. AH/KM
