Agenda of Saleh’s forthcoming visit to Spain discussed
SANA’A, (Saba) – Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Hisham Sharaf discussed on Sunday with the Spanish ambassador to Yemen Marcos Vega economic and developmental matters to be discussed during the President Ali Abdullah Saleh’s coming visit to Spain. The two sides agreed on the necessity of preparing proposals by the Yemeni side of specific projects to be funded by the Spanish government in public health, education, water, sanitation and other fields, asserting the importance of activating the bilateral ties in the light of higher-ranking officials’ mutual visits between the two friendly countries. It is expected that Saleh’s visit to Spain would deal with listing Yemen among states receiving Spanish aid over coming years. Meanwhile, Sharaf held talks with the Saudi ambassador to Yemen Ali Bin Mohammed Al-Hamdan on current preparatory arrangements for holding the 18th round of the Yemeni-Saudi Coordination Council (YSCC). The meeting dealt with several new agreement drafts to be signed at the conclusion of the YSCC upcoming round. FR/AF Saba
